Will I know anyone at camp?
~ You may know some of the other campers. If you don't we
play several games called ice-breakers. The intention of
these games are so the campers can get to know each
other. Friends are a very important things in life. "The best
thing to have and the best thing to be is a FRIEND."
Will I have fun at camp?
~ YES you will have a BLAST. We have so many activities
planned throughout the week that there is little time to be
bored and lots of time to play, learn, explore and have
FUN.
What if I don't know how to swim?
~ Every child is required to wear a life jacket, no matter
what. Even the instructors will be wearing them.
What if I don't want to do something at camp?
~ Everything we do at camp is "Challenge by Choice." This
means that if you feel uncomfortable and scared to try
something then do not do it. However, we will encourage
all kids to try everything. We have found that the kids that
chose not to do something, later on in the day/ week they
feel bad and feel that they let themselves down. How do
you know if you like or dislike something if you NEVER try?
What are the snacks that you provide?
~ All of snacks we provide are healthy snacks such as
apples, oranges, granola bars. Every now and then we will
give them a packet of fruit snacks. We provide water, no
soda.
Will I be safe in the woods?
~ YES you will be safe. The instructor is a nature freak. He
knows all the dangers in the woods and will never let
anything happen to you. The instructor is also certified in
CPR and AED. You will not be attacked by any animals.
Remember aniamls can smell, see and hear you before
you can see them. They would rather run away than to
confront you.

What are the age groups for camp?
~ We conduct 2 camps per summer. 1 camp is ages 5-9 &
the other camp is ages 10-13
How long are the camps?
~ The camp for ages 5-9 is Monday-Tuesday-Wednesday.
Starts at 9am and pick up is at noon.
~ The camp for ages 10-13 is Monday - Friday from 9am-
3pm.
Do you supply lunch?
~ We supply snacks and water throughout the day for
both camps. We do not break for lunch in the younger
camp, but we do ask the camp for ages 10-13 to pack
their own healthy lunch.
What should they wear?
~ We do walk through the woods and stomp through a
stream, so we do ask the kids to wear comfortable
clothes and bring an extra pair of pants/ shorts in case
they get muddy or wet. Dress for the weather. If your
child is sensitive to poison ivy pants are a good idea.
We also have a swimming day for the older kids, so a
swimsuit and towels are a must. If you have a life
jacket that fits your child, please bring it. Swimming
usually occurs on the last day of camp. Hiking boots
are a good idea. PLEASE NO FLIP FLOPS.
What will our kids be learning?
~ We conduct "Nature Camps" and it depends on the
theme of the camp but most camps the kids will be
learning all about nature, like trees, wildflowers,
insects, fishing, hiking, wilderness survival basics,
swimming, canoeing, kayaking, compass skills, etc.
